FuckUp Nights is one part storytelling, one part comedy, all true stories of professional failure by Atlanta's leaders. Join us November 1st as we hear from icons like Bill Bolling, Danny Shoy, Jim Stacy, and Meg Robinson. Each will share a tale of their professional or personal failure.P.S. There's also beer, wine, and snacks thanks to sponsor WeWork.
What is FuckUp Nights?
Fuckup Nights is a global movement and event series that shares stories of professional failure. Each month, in over 200 cities across the globe, we get three to four people to get up in front of a room full of strangers to share their own professional fuckup. The stories of the business that crashes and burns, the partnership deal that goes sour, the product that has to be recalled, we tell them all.
Who are the ATL Speakers? (From L to R above)
Bill Bolling - Founder of the Atlanta Community Food Bank and has helped developed many more social good projects in Atlanta.
Danny Shoy - Accomplished nonprofit executive and current President and CEO of the East Lake Foundation.
Jim Stacy - Chef, Emmy-award winning TV Celebrity, punk rocker, and founder of Pallookaville Fine Foods.
Meg Robinson - Executive Director of Georgia Alliance for Progress, former chief of staff and general counsel to Sen. Jason Carter.
How it Works:
Show up for some networking, free beer and finger foods, have some fun, and learn a little something in the process.
Each storyteller will have about 7-ish minutes to share their fail story and the lessons learned. To help add effect (and some drama) each story will be presented with 10 slides auto rotating every 45 seconds. Once the f'upper has made it through their story, the audience then has a few minutes to ask some questions.
